Renegade X 800
This was some of the best conditions we have had. It was nice riding just yesterday. I understand the season is over now, but it would be sure nice to take advantage of this huge base that we have. Brownville hasn't been groomed for over a month now. The trail is just now becoming an issue with some wash outs.

Sorry we had to stop but we were out of funds, believe me it hurts me to as these trails are my ticket to the mountains in KI where I like to ride but we had no money.

Did you guys do too much early on or have a lot of breakdowns in order to have that happen?

We start grooming when there is at least a foot of snow on the ground. It is limited though until the snow is two feet deep. We had normal maintenance but no breakdowns. Our grant is just too small for what we have to do. I am working with Scott to try and rectify that situation but if he doesnt increase our grant I am afraid we will be in the same boat again next year.

Stop grooming and see if the business's kick in extra.

I think it's a shame that you don't get enough $ to be able to get beyond late Feb or early March. I have only been riding the Moosehead area regularly for the past three seasons since buying a camp there. IMO the 110 & the B-pond trails are some of the better riding in the area and have seen the traffic increase steadily since my arrival and try to hit it whenever I'm there.

Good luck in your quest for more $.

We Agree about the best riding in the area, Thanks for the words of support and to answer another post, we stopped grooming because of lack of funds a month ago and I haven't received a single call from the local businesses in Brownville. ???????

FWIW I've never taken the B-ville trails into town because they start to get so small and in the past the signage wasn't so..............informative. I love that old rail bed section though. I will try to ride into town next year. Is there gas & food?

Our trails have improved quite a bit over the years, they are still tight around town but we had the BR180 down the connector to 82 four times before we ran out of dough, so that says something about how much room we have. We also have been putting more effort into signage because of people like you (Not thinking we are signed well enough)

We have food and fuel off 110 and if you head over to 83 using the lakeview trail we have a new lodge "Wildwoods" Very nice place and worth the trip in my opinion. Come check us out.

I rode out of Brownville allot this year and the trails were excellent once all the washouts were filled. Hope you get more funds, because you are the gateway to some great trails and close to where I live.

Thanks a bunch, we used 66 bales of hay to fill all those holes. We are doing the best we can with the money we get.
