I am purchasing a 2007 Switchback 600HO. THis is my first long-track sled. Read many good things about the switchback. I currently ride a 06 Fusion 600ho and the motor is bullet proof. Anybody have any Pro's or Cons for the switchback. Track is a 2 inch paddle.
Thanks

Someone must of changed the track. Mine has a 1 1/4 inch. I wonder if they changed the gearing. 13.5 mpg, oil ratio set at 65:1 When it was new I got 94 mph on my gps on a loose packed powder trail. The dreamOmeter saved max mph at 98. Needs scratchers to keep the motor cool on hard pack trails. Have 2300+ miles on it now and will keep it another season. I use it boondocking, icefishing, saddlebaging, trail rides. It does everything for me.

I have an inch and half track I mine and love it. I ride mostly trails and forest roads. 4000 trouble free miles.

Rode over 5200 miles on mine this past winter.I am on my second belt, and I did have to have the dimmer switch replaced (quit working ). Other than that just gas, oil, and enjoy.

get it flashed for oil consumption.
get the throttle cable fixed to the oil bottle to stop it from melting to the pipe.
get the coolant line fixed for length

then gas and go.

I love mine. i put a 2" on mine with a 4" riser c&a skis, ice scratchers, regeared, slp intake, and mbrp pipe, and i love the thing. all it needs is wider running boards and it would be perfect. one thing to watch is ice buildup in the tunnel, you might want to clean it out everyonce and a while because chunks fall out and lock up the track!
