so i cant race my other 05 in the sport class which is what i need to be in for next season.. i was wondering if the 07's or 06's came with 600 engines in it.. or do i have to get the 08? also how do i get myself a roller chassis.. do i have to find a iq with a blown engine or can i get one from polaris?

The 08' is the only year with the 600 motor stock in it. And I believe you can't buy a rolling chassise from Polaris.

As of now, if you're going to race sport super stock, then you need an 08 or 09 IQ. If you are going to race sport 500 & 600, then you can race a 440. In the 600 class, you can race either a 440 or 600 new generation race sled. This is the only class that mingles the two together. The classes are published on the RMR site. No one will know about next year until the ISR meeting in May. If there are going to be major changes like happened this year with the change to super stock 600, then they usually try to get the word out as soon as possible so that people know what to do for the new season.

so i need a ski-doo or a arctic crap to race the sport 600 class huh? 440s are just so god dam slow and i am def not a trail racer.. i should be in sport but i know i'm not at semi pro.. i could probably do it but end up back of the pack every time.. and next year i want to race for points

you can get rollers from polaris. when i got my roller from scheuring, i got the polaris certificate that he got from them when the sled was brand new. had the vin and everything on it, but under engine cc it said no motor

like i would go for the 08 roller if i could... do you have any idea how i could go about getting it?

O.K., No such thing as a rolling chassis any more. For 08, all brands came as 600 stockers and if you wanted to build a mod, you either purchased a mod kit or sent the stock engine out to be modified and have pipes built etc. The reason for the rolling chassis in prior years was because the mods were either 800's or 600's and the stockers were 440's. Having a rolling chassis saved the racer the cost of the 440 engine which wasn't going to be used again.

I don't understand the Ski-doo or Cat comments. What are you thinking? All made 440's until 07. All switched to 600's in 08. If your thinking of giving semi-pro a try by the end of the season then get a 600. As of now, you can run sport 600 and super stock sat & sunday. That gives you 3 classes per weekend. Later, if you feel ready you could run a 1 year old 600 in semi-pro.

I heard that the juniors will be required to run 440's again next year. That sucks for them, but I'm not sure that only the best of them are ready to step from a fan sled to a 600. It's a big jump in power. Some one told me that they were trying to come up with a restrictor plate to cut the horsepower a little. Sooner or later, there won't be any 440's left that are worth racing.

the super stock class in rmr i believe is only 08 sleds and the sport 600 is the class i thought i could run.. until i found out about the whole 600 needs to be oem...

I spoke to schuering a week ago and they have one stocker for $5,500. They will also have a roller avalible in 2 weeks. I have pics of the stocker, if anyone wants to see it.

I bought my 07 roller from sheuring, very fair prices so you better get on one if that is what you want to do. They are in great shape.
