24.5 inches - Chisholm - 11:55 p.m.
23.5 inches - Cohasset - 9 p.m.
23 inches - Grand Rapids (15 miles N) - 9 p.m.

well that was a type OOOOOOO! I'm at work now and wishing I was up there. One sled with a lung down and another needed more TLC and another one that needs to be registered. And the other reason is that I need to keep the money train roll'n in. Sad excusses .....I know but it is what it is. So someone else better get out there and enjoy it for the oness that can't. Later

We are pushing 30 inches, hard to really tell because the wind blew so hard all night. I plowed twice and right now it looks like I didn't even touch it. This snow is going to be around for a while, so come on up or over and ride. Premium fuel around here is pretty high so bring a few gas cans along.

We've got to have at least 2 feet. It's hard to tell because it blew around so much, but we have a 6' chain link fence near our barn outside and it's drifted up to about a foot from the top. The snow on the deck is about a foot above my border collie's head. They still haven't plowed our road so I'm stuck.

The winner? Virginia, Minn., reports heaviest snow
The city in St. Louis County takes the grand prize for the most snowfall during the weekend's storms, with the 32 inches that piled up from Friday night and to midday today.
Karin Krueger knew there was a lot of snow outside her office window in Virginia, Minn. But it was news to her that the town of about 9,000 people in St. Louis County took the grand prize for the most snowfall, with the 32 inches that piled up from Friday night and this midday today.
"I've got to send an e-mail out and let everybody know," said Krueger, a secretary in the city's police department. "I know we had a lot, but not that much."
Residents in other Iron Range cities got almost as much. Not far behind, 29 inches fell in northern portions of Itasca County, 27 inches in Cass Lake, 26 in Babbitt, and 25 in Chisholm and near Grand Rapids. Cohasset reported 23.5 inches while Lake Bemidji and New York Mills came in with 13 inches, the National Weather Service said.
The storm dropped a foot or more of snow across a wide swath of north central and northeastern Minnesota over the past three days, putting spring on hold. A few cranky people even called the National Weather Service office in Duluth lamenting that the interminable winter just won't end.
"Yeah, there's been a little bit of that," said Mike Bettwy, an assistant forecaster.
He said the three-day storm likely didn't set any records, but said it is quite unusual to get that much snow so late in the season.
The "Big Dump" was actually a welcome sight, said Dana Waldron, the police chief in Virginia, Minn.
"We needed the snow because the grass was drying out pretty bad," Waldron said. "I don't mind it, but that's my personal opinion, but I'm sure the people out shoveling are not happy.
Most of the snow had moved out of the region by early this afternoon, though some light snow was still falling in far northeastern Minnesota. Several school districts called off or started classes late today. MnDOT said driving in the northern part of the state is difficult due to snow compacted roads and icy spots.
A winter storm warning expired at 7 a.m. today, but another storm system may bring more snow to the northern part of the state by the end of the week, the weather service said.
Heavy snow also fell in the Morris, Alexandria and Staples area of west-central Minnesota. Fargo, N.D., reported 6 inches of snow

You had to move 2' of snow with that itty-bitty skidloader? My god, I'd have gone crazy. Drive two feet, full bucket, dump. Drive two feet, full bucket, dump. Repeat 40,000 times.

That's awesome that you guys got that much snow, though! There's talk that we might get a couple inches around here sometime tomorrow, but I'd just as soon have it fall as rain if that's all we're gonna get. If it were 12+", I'd say bring it.

Otherwise, it's just a tease. I could see getting 6", then de-summerizing the sled and going out and destroying something.

Thursday night and Friday will see a more potent storm system track into the Upper Mississippi Valley, but many uncertainties on this system's track exist at this time. Continue to monitor the forecast, as this system could bring a late-season accumulating snow to much of the area.

Omg,
Posting this just before I head to bed. Todays snowmobiling > school any day. I am super exhausted.
We ride just normal trail Polari', but this snow was almost too much for us as all we were doing was pushing it. We were actually, at around 4PM, the ONLY ONES that have rode the Soo Line since this storm fell. Around Boy River, I stepped off the trail and I instantly sunk down to about my waist.
The ditches will be good to go for the rest of the week ATLEAST. I'd avoid the trails because (yes they are closed, but uh...

) they've got a lot of water sitting on them, so it's a little messy. The forest/fire roads? Beyond epic. So smooth, LOTS of powder for MN trails. Just gotta watch out for the downed trees.
Bottom line? GET OUT THERE WHILE YOU CAN. This is unrealistic conditions for this time of the year, and I kind of forgot we were in Minnesota while we were out today!!!
Edit: Pics will follow tomorrow.
