Has anyone swapped a front heat exchanger on an Apex. Let the horror stories begin.

I put a big hole in my rx 1 when I lost the track at 180km. All I did was pull the Alum back out than took it to someone that could weld. Problem fixed. It works great.

my old man did the same thing on his rx-1 and we just welded it back shut. 5000 miles and no problems, so they can be welded to fix them, fortunately i have a welder for that so all you have to do is find someone in your area to weld it. you can weld it while its on the sled, so there is no need to remove it. i should tell you too that my dads was not a little hole its was a tear about a 1/2" long. we figured it was junk so we thought what the hell lets try to weld it and it worked!

Well that sucks! What kind of studs you running?
On a side note. I just pulled out a stud from one of my snow tires. Must of picked it up in a snowmobile parking lot somewhere?
