that is some miles, speaking of 99 zr 600 what do you recommend to do to em to make em peppier? my buddy owns one and its not up to his standards. it has to big of gearing, dont know the sizes yet and twin pipes with v-force reeds, i told him single pipe and either get stock gearing or maybe a few teeth more, he wants a good holeshot, and top speed. the gear is realing killing it now though.. thanks alot for the miles info, you were a busy person ylsuper.gif

Not sure about miles, but my first sled is still running. I gave it to my brother and he rides it every winter. Starts up on two pulls. The sled is a 77 TX 440. It is all original and we beat the heck out of it27 years isn't too bad for a sled.

16,000 on a 1993 Wildcat 700. Did 2 preventative engine rebuilds after every 6000 miles and it never gave me a lick of trouble. It is still going and my old man bought it off me because it was so well looked after. :beerchug:

At age 25 I bought my first new sled. 1990 Arctic Cat Prowler. Bought as a leftover in October 1991. Rode it for 10 years - 7,150 trouble free miles. During those 10 years I bought a business, got married, had 3 kids, and built a new house. Still managed to avearge over 700 miles a season traveling over at least 250 miles to get to the snow. 1luvu.gif

My '95 ZRT800 had 14,000 miles on it with no engine work when a rod broke. Parted it out for $2000 the next winter. The kids '95 ZRT800 had 13,000 miles when he quit riding it because the bulkhead was coming apart. My '96 ZRT800 with M10/BLT has about 8,000 miles on it and will be good for a couple of more years of fun.
