I'm planning on using Supreme Tool and Machine Ski-Doo type exhaust valves on my 2003 F7. Supreme Tool uses a real strong spring to hold the diaphram onto the housing that is impossible to get on by hand because the spring is so tight. I contacted my Ski-Doo dealer and he mentioned that he's observed people using a plastic zip tie vs. the OEM springs.

Since most of you have dealt with the OEM Exhaust Valves - what have you found to work best? According to Supreme Tool they put on the stronger springs as the OEM Ski-Doo springs were known to leak or come off.

seems to me i remember my older formula having zip ties on it. i believe bombardier added the springs on later models.
i've never had a spring leak or come off.
