forget adrien bernard, his job is like shitt!!!!!!!!!trust me ,is stroked crank not running more than one hours and it will cost you a whole motor........................................................
try to find a billet crank is the best way!!!!!!
if is for trail sled, try to find the billet end crank, this part fit on your stock crank(pto side) and it,s way stronger than stock
ask for eugene frenette on amsnow ,this guy have play alot with stroker crank......

if you want a VERY good advice, don,t play with the crank
just weld them and go with big bore kit 1100-1200cc is the brest trail combo you can do!!!!!!!!!!
and never buy used stuff, build yourself a new kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree with green thunder. You either can afford a wicked stroker crank or you can't, don't fool with machining the stocker.
Hey Johnny Park
So when someone welds a crank what does that mean exactly?
tcatsteve
The crankshaft in you're motor is actually made up up a few different sections wich are pressed togther. Welding them would mean first indexing the crank, wich is making sure none of the pieces have twisted at the press joint and then welding the sections togther. Back in the eighties with our 9500 rpm Polaris tripples, if they were'nt welded, they did'nt last long. Come to think of it, they did'nt last very long anaway!I don't think it's that important on a big block Cat unless you're going over 9000rpm or big boring as Green Thunder said.
