WTF? Hill-X is a waste of time and has a poor turnout?
I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Last years Giants and Spirit Mnt. were a blast!!!
Maybe if you would actually qualify for a final you might have a better attitude toward it?

No need to get all bent outta shape, KYLE.
I stand correct... last year you had a total of 12 points at Giants and 12 points at Spirit for BEGINNER TRACTION... and you held your own with the 24th ranking out of 25 for the year. BEGINNER 800 IMPROVED even better going 17 and 17. Wow! did you get all of those points in your finals?
I'm just fucking with you dude. I was watching you race last year and you looked like a rookie.

i made both finals but i didnt race in them, my bearing went out on my jackshaft and i didnt have another sled to race in the finals on sunday. so i just packed up and went home. and it was my first time, so i should have looked like a rookie. no need to say any of what you said in the first place. i just said something general that the ridge was a boring track, then you made it personal on me.

The weekend racing at the Ridge was very good this year--we did have to do a little bit of sled chasing but not much--I was working the jump after the table-top right before the climb to the top. Most of the sled chasing was for breakdowns. It seemed like we had a lot of blown chains and bearing this year.
Thankfully no one got seriously hurt this year even though there were some very serious looking wrecks. The kid that got ran over right after the double on Sunday and then came back to race again (2 or 3 races later) must have had a lot of adrenline going through him to keep on going.
As a Trailhawk, it is always fun to help Wally and you guys out with the races--I'll see you again next year!

well there was a serious crash, right b4 the finish line #5 Kevin Bird, fractured vertabre, is having surgery today on it. he wasnt moving to well, there were 3 other crashes that were kinda semi-serious with number #822 , #418, and #642 , but they mainly just got the wind knocked out of them

I guess Andy is doing ok, sucks that he was almost to the finish and ended up like that.

Apr 7 2008, 01:53 PM
about 50 more feet he would of had the win, the kid that hit him barely even came up to him and ask him ifs hes alright and apologize, and neither did the kids parents, multiple other races said they were glad to see hes alright to him. not to respectful on the kids part to not apologize and make sure hes alright. But he had a sore knee. Andy one of my best friends. Lucky his crash and accident wasnt anymore serious.

Apr 7 2008, 01:56 PM
Shows how much sportsmanship that kid has. Andy has been doing pretty good this year for a first timer. Do you and Andy do a lot of riding together up in Ely, whenever hes home.
CHUB_CHUB
Apr 7 2008, 02:13 PM
more waterskipping than riding when hes in town, since he hasnt had the sled long, but yes he is doing good, 1st in points for beg non traction, and i beleive he will move into 4th for sport 600 improved after this weekend. he is bringing home a bunch of trophies, mainly firsts and seconds

Yeah...ouch. Luckily I didnt end up in surgery, just a really annoying brace and neck collar. Not much fun.
