Hi, my next door neighbour has a '94 Indy Classic with a 488 L/C EFI engine. He also has a '97 Indy with a 488 L/C carb engine. I just bought a '95 Indy Trail with the 488 fan cooled carbureted engine. Just wondering what the difference in HP is and how far behind him I'll be when we're riding in open areas?l

56 on the fanner,72 on the lc. The fan will give him a good run to 60mph

Thanks, I'm thinking it would be close, he has e-start and reverse on both and I have neither. My sled should be lighter by 60lbs I figure. Although I probably weigh that much more than him.

That's a lot of power for a 13 year old!! Nice looking sled though.

Much more realistic. Even that is strong numbers for a old 500.
