My freind is wanting to buy a new turbo cat but asked me to find out if the older turbos were reliable. I guess he assumes the technology will be similar. Any body know ?

In general, turbochargers are quite reliable. They are on millions of semi's, farm tractors, earthmoving equipment, and usually run huge miles without any maintenance other than a consistent and clean supply of oil. Those on the 660's are probably just as good (I have one), and the Z1 turbo should be too. Modifications would be the only thing they might not respond kindly to...
