On my last ride here North Of Sudbury a couple of days ago, I had a great time but wondered if there will be places like the pole lines and pits we have here to play out near Winnipeg

Or how far out do I have to ride or drive out to find these hidden jems

There are a few trails that follow pole lines but not they're pretty flat. The only one I can think of that would be similar to that is the one just south of Pine Falls. I've always wanted to ride it but never did. It's about a 1.25 hr drive from the city, or a couple hours by sled.

There is about 10 square miles of gravel pits just north of the city on Garven Road, but many are still active and have machinery so you just have to watch out. Seddon's corner, which is about 45 min by sled from the city is a dead pit that many people use, and has some of the wickedest terrain you'll ever see. You can get 40 ft of air or just climb the slopes and everything in between.

BTW, all time lengths by sled I mentioned are measured from the 59'er restaurant 10 min north of the city, where I usually trailer to.
