Ive got a 2001 Chevy 2500HD and im putting some new rubber on it and Im wondering if a 33X11.50X16 will be too much for the stock ride height and rims? Will there be too much rubbing from width or height or both? Thanks for any answers and oppinions.

basically the same as a 285/75/16

My buddy has a '02 GMC 2500 (same truck right?) he baught tires off a Hummer, They are larger than 285. 305 or 315s I think, they are 16" also. and they fit but he had to trim his inner fender linner. His kid also has a 02 or 03 gmc ---1500--- He has 285s on it on the Stock wheels and they do not rub. I was very surprised but he's had two sets of them on there. too big, looks funny but they clear at full turn and suspension cycle. the same 285s rubbed on my 02 dodge that sets what? about 4-5" higher in the front than a gm. go figure.

they will fit, you will probably have to cut your airdam, and them being an 11.5 the might rub at full turn but i dont so.

got 285/75 on american racing baja rims. stock 97 f150 with the off road package. looks really good i think. been told 285's are 32.75" tire... dont know if it true but sounds about right.

my dad has a 02 gmc 2500hd and it has 305's on stock rims and they barely rub when you crank it all the way, they fill up the wheel well and make it look like its got a small lift too

They fill up the wheel well till you get it off the pavement and get that suspension to full stuff and it tears out the inner fenders!! If you all want to run bigger tires DO IT RIGHT!!
