Scenario
  1. High speed lake running for about an 1/2 hour...(150-160km/h) just messing around and I did some moderate straight line running just to let the temps come back down gradually
  2. Get back home and notice my foot is sprayed with chaincase oil
  3. Clean it all up and check levels.......levels in chaincase are still high.. (maybe it was too full from dealer service)
  4. No chaincase oil on the belly pan....just spray upwards all over the stick and relays and brake rotor housing (dipstick was still seated in the chaincase)
  5. Go for another ride the next day... nothing crazy ....actually too slow and my temps were way up...
  6. No more chaincase oil sprayed anywhere...
  7. I go to stand on it HARD (most I have ever stood on it).....engine is hot but nothing outragous.(just touching red)... half way through a hard pull I hear and feel BANG......I get off the gas and limp home quickly 20-30 seconds.... sled is running fine but I wanna get off the lake incase it quits.....
  8. Pull the plugs and they are light brown and very dry.... almost look like the are made of dry mud.....
  9. Start it back up to load on the trailer... no knocking or grinding or banging or weird noises...Started and ran fine

SOOOOOOOOOOOO my question is...

Did I detonate a piston? Burn a piston? Scuff a piston? I few quick checks without doing a tear down?
Did I have a driver slip and track ratcheted?
Chain too loose?

Just some ideas on where to start....

Thx boys

I doubt you burnt a piston, would run correctly or idle very well. I would recheck your oil in the chaincase. Doubt a driver actually skipped, but maybe track skipped, check track tension. Maybe a bad bearing in the chaincase or drive bearing on ctutch side. Also check your chain tension. hope this helps.
