Don't do this 40 miles back in the woods. Kinda panicy, if you know what I mean. Didn't see any salmon though! That's Serpentine River by the way. Deep and cold!

We had an awsome ride up to this point. Left from the house, went to Black Duck Siding, came up through to my cabin across country, then went into the hills, up through a major canyon on Fox Island. Then across to Molly Ann Cove, and then to Rope Cove. Then, I posed the major question. "Byes, how about we try to go down into the cove and follow serpentine up to the lake and loop back around to the cabin. The sun had just broken out, so everyone was game. Coming down that canyon was the biggest rush I have had all year! I have awsome pics of the whole trip, but the mood kinda went south when Jason sunk his machine:

How did he manage that???

Jue I Knows thats not the first time that river has claimed someones sled. Damn that sucks
JUE
He managed it by trying to cross it. Porblem was, the bank that he left from was sloping into the river, so he started right at the edge to make sure he didn't nose dive. But, his machine is powerful (MXZ 800), and it kind of spun in place as soon as he hit the river. He slacked off to get her moving a bit and was luck to get across haly way. She went about another 10 feet under water with him riding it like a sea-doo.

Crazy shite.

This is a pic of one of the highlights of the day, coming down into Rope Cove. Those three dots at the top of the hill are three of my buddies trying to gain the nerve to come down.

that sucks.... how did u get the sled???
JUE
Yes, with a lot of team work and effort. We found an easier way to cross, quickly of course. Then we hauled out a 50 foot rope that we had and got Jason to string it around his spindles. We then told him to get out of the water and start stripping while we hauled his machine out of the water. Then we all donated a piece of clothing (thank god for liners) to keep him warm. Anyway, we tried to dry her out on the beach but she wouldn't go, so we hauled her up over the bank and I towed her out.

Check my website for the full story including maps and pics of the trip. I have this week's trip under "PIC OF THE WEEK".

when did it happen....
JUE
J O, I PM'd you.

Zrnewf, sorry, but it was a spur of the moment thing for me and the byes from out here. We didn't decide on going until 2 days before the trip. We actually didn't head out there until Saturday. Scott and the boys drove across through the night on Thursday. I don't think they had any extra room, all truck pans and trailers were full!

Next time!
zrnewf
yeah for sure...I have a tow rig anyways....just say the word~!
