ok, so i ride hard 90% off the trail... jumps, drift, hills, ditches... whatever is infront of me...
and i was looking for an 05+ 440 trail converted and just ahd a few questions:

1) are they completely trail converted or do i still have to premix the gas?
2) bigger tank is a neccessity??
3) low comp. heads, good or bad???
4) top end max out????

Thanks in advance,
JB

smiley-faces7.gif Fully trail converted. Big tank. Yes you need it. Trail jetting , mandatory, Extra idler wheels, yes unless you have unlimited snow. Oil pump should have it but most guys say trail conv, but don't have it. ASK. Top speed depends on lots of things. Fast enough my son stays up with us on any trails here. The 05 in my oppinion is the best for what you are doing to date. Untill you have riden one you won't understand how awesome these sleds are. Buy one and pull the head, send the domes out and get them cut. Put the big tank on off a summit, add the wheels and trail needles jet it fat 320's -330's put a tempaflo on it and premix your gas and have a fucking blast. If it too stiff have it. revavled by one of the guys on this site. If this doesn't help. Go to Doo- talk.

there good corner to corner. i went threw a radar on mine on GLAR ice and got a wopping 86mph. but when it comes to the off trail riding i do most of the time, its the best sled in the world if you have the big tank on. if you dont have the big tank on, you can barely make it to the bush and back. i can get 72 miles of hard trail riding out of my 440 with the big tank befor i run out in the middle of the trail. all in all i still love the sled.

ps: carry a rev jerry can on the back thumbsup.png i learned the hard way to always do that.
