The way they were goin' down, I'd say almost half of 'em got dunked... I saw the crash, but no video of it, or the one where the two girls were on back and both came off about fifteen feet short of the landing- was pretty cool lookin', LOTS of sleds in the mix today. These are just some of the ones I saw today in the drink.

Didn't get off the sled until he could touch shore, and the wheeler yankin' him in was spinning like crazy tryin' to get some traction. He even had the dude that lifted his girl to shore come back out and tie the rope to the sled!!

I saw the accident with the poo and doo. It looked like the poo was at fault as the guy on the doo was doing circles and got cut off. That hood must have flown 20 feet in the air - I just missed the shot as I was filming another guy at the time. I know the guy on the polaris is lucky he didn't get his ass handed to him as he was cutting a few guys off while they were doing circles.

Hey I see there are some pictures of me on my mach this time!! It was a blast. We went up today and had the place to ourselves most of the day. I got the crash on video. Was actually filming the guy on the doo going in a circle when it happened. I dont know either of the guys involved but I wouldnt be so quick to blame the guy on the poo. The guy on the doo never even looked before he started the circle. Alot of guys were doing circles when other sleds were on the water. If your going to turn you had best look over your shoulder and make sure its clear first. With as many sleds as there were running out there that is like making a u turn in rush hour traffic.

I know the guy in the 5th pic down on post 4 and he said he was coming onto the water just as the accident happened and was cut off by the black polaris also. If the sheriffs hadn't been standing 40 feet away and been the first to run over there I know the guy on the polaris was about to get his ass handed to him.

Ya, I saw a couple guys shut down and sink because they got cut off and slowed to avoid getting hit. It's a F7'ing free for all. A couple guys were constantly cutting ahead of guys in line to go, and then there was that one guy who just stayed out there doin' circles with at least two dozens sleds waiting to take a turn... gotta pick your time to go. I posted a pic with a guy looking back to make sure it was safe to get around before he continued. Seemed like just after the crash everyone took a little more time on their runs, but that lasted about fifteen minutes, then it got crazy again.

That is how Yellow Lake in WI got shut down. Too many sleds and no traffic control. Someone was killed and that was the end of that.

The left control arm was broken off at the back and since the hood shot 15 feet into the air whatever was holding that on is probably broken also - I have pics when both were in the water still, so the damage wasn't visible. I walked over when it was on the ice but didn't feel the need to push the sheriff out of the way to look at the damage closer.

The people who are straight lining back and fourth at "50 MPH!!!" have the best field of view and cannot miss seeing someone out making circles. The dude on Chub Chubs sled came ripping across the water and I could see that he saw dana and he started to cut toward the ice slightly and could have easily just shut the sled down and avoided colliding, although he would have been swamped had he done so, then pow he T-boned Dana. It was pretty crazy. It is an F-ing free for all out there. If you get cut off like I and everyone else out there did you gotta sacrifice the pride and let her sink. No one was really at fault and I can totally see the guy on Chub Chubs sleds point about being cut off, and the fact that people should be aware of what is going on around them. Lets do this thing right this week end, No collisions!! On another note did any of you see my friend on the silver and black Pro-X skying out on that jump, it was sick!!!!

The guy has no fear, I have seen him do some crazy stuff. It would have got really interesting had the sheriff not came over and tell him "no more ramp, I am not writing an accident report up for this", pretty funny. The Sherrif told him it looked cool as hell, but we gotta put and end to it. The two sheriffs there were pretty cool! Who is all heading out there this week end? I will be there for sure, along with the guy jumping and a few others. Kind of sucked for me, my sled would not run for shit at low RPM's so every time I tried to make a circle I would start losing all power and barely make it to shore, what a drag. I am pretty sure one of my exhaust valves is sticking. The following link is a you tube vid and towards the end of it it catches Jed on one of his smaller but very awesome jumps.

I wont be there this weekend. I have to work for 16 days starting thursday so my riding is probably done for the year. I have about an hours worth of video from up there including the crash. I tried to upload it to you tube but cant get it to work. after I get done working I might try bringing my laptop some where with high speed and see if I can get it to work. Have fun up there but remember to keep it safe and clean up your messes! I talked to the sheriffs that were there on saturday and they dont have any intentions of shutting it down as long as it stays safe and people clean up the trash.

It is Very Easy To Find.
turn to go toward the casino at the Y-store
Drive past the road to turn toward the casino and drive until you see a set of mini storage buildings to the right that are on (co. rd. 77) not sure the distance but it is over 5 miles past the turn off for fortune bay.
Once on 77 there is only one turn and that is a left and again about 5 miles down a pretty rough tar road, there is a sign that says something like Shamrock Point turn left there. Stay on that road and it will bring you right to the boat landing/marina.
Show up there about at 11:00 AM and just follow the sleds out. I will be there around then if you want to follow us. Look for the sled that I am on below.

The snow is not that deep. I ran 10 miles to get there via lake on a Can Am 800 and I could reach speeds of 63mph on the lake. I also saw two wheel drives out at the skips. Shouldn't be a problem for the wheelers.

You'll prolly see some standing water right after you get on the lake from the road, the "parking lot" (on the lake) is usually pretty well snow covered, and there were a few drifts last weekend, nothing to really get stuck in, however. The lake was fun to take a blast down every once in awhile, too. Around the edges in some spots it was over my knees deep yet, the lake typically had several inches of snow, lots of sled and a few car/truck tracks, some of which were four to six inches down in places.

So far if everything goes well we well have 4 sleds and 2 raptor wheelers heading up on sat.
Any info on the condition of the ice, parking, and amount of people going would be great. Think there well be a lot of water on top of the ice after the past two 50 degree days?
