Here's a link to 3 pics on ARCTICCHAT of the added heat exchanger. It is a 93-97 ZRT/T-CAT front heat exchanger added to the rear of my tunnel for added cooling. This is a must even for stock sleds. I believe that the 90 degree bend hose is from the rear of the old Polaris 800 Storm.

Good question. Even though it looks like you'd have an issue, you won't. I had a 1.25 rip saw w/studs on it when I bought it and never even came close to snagging it with a stud. There are several other guys running studs who run Ron Hunyady's motors and they have never caught a stud on it either. So to answer your question: You will have no problem running studs with this added heat exchanger in the rear of the tunnel.

Blaine looks like your setup will get the job done. I to believe the T cats need more cooling. here are some pictures of my solution. I used the rear exchanger from the 95 ZRT. I did the plumbing inside the pocket at the back of the seat.

Thanks Blaine, and nice work guys. A rear exchanger from a 900 mtn cat is on it's way to my house. That's what I'll be adding to my Tcat this summer. Still need to work the plumbing details out, but time is on my side.

Ron used the rear heat exchaner in his sled too when he extended it to 136". I've also seen the rear heat exchanger used on an F-1000.

do you guys know if you have to pull the motor on a 96 t-cat to change the front heat exchanger? if you don't do you have any tips on changing it.
your added exchanger looks good and we might have to do that too.
thanks in advance, Cashman

On my 95 ZRT I took the track out and drilled out the rivets from underneath the sled and I could get to the hose clamps by taking out the airbox.

ditto. It is the 99 and newer aluminum bulheads where the heat exchanger is part of the bulkhead and is a NIGHTMARE to cut it out and fit another one in.
