I just bought a 2001 MXZ800 and I have noticed that the motor really vibrates. Is this normal? The owner even said something about it before I picked it up. He said that at idle the engine really vibrates, but goes away once you are moving and get RPM's up. I just want to make sure this is normal and not a sign of bad motor mounts or something more serious. Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem with engine vibration take a look at your primary clutch bushings inner and outer. Had new bushings pressed in and it solved my vibration issues.

Good Luck

Was your vibration problem at idle, or was it when the clutch was engaged and you were moving? Mine seems to be bad at idle. If you lift the hood when it is warming up you can see the motor really vibrating. My Polaris triple is much smoother than it is, so I am just guessing something is not right. Who knows?
