Your a lucky woman Grip! What engine are you getting? I like the new Gade X black/white combo. I wish they'd come out with a 800 E-tec! No new sleds for me this year but maybe for 09-10.

Well, let's see, we have a 9 year old name VW, a 3 year old name Silverado, a 18 month named Volvo, a 10 year old name Malibu Sunsetter LX, twin four month olds one named TNT which is up for adoption and the other is named Adrenaline. Adrenaline is awsome so we're keeping it.

If someone gets lucky we'll have new born e-tec on it's way!

Hey King, the 'grip' keeps trying every year to keep it so I think you will be SOL with this one!

Actually, although the last to "kids" are very well behaved, we decided to abandon them anyway (See Vermont Classifieds - AC Z440 and ZL550 for sale). We bought a new leftover 08 F5 and snow checked a new 09 F5. A big upgrade for my wife from the 440 and kind of staying even with a nice comfort ugrade for old fat me.

I can't wait for next season already!

Congratulations on your new addition! What are ya gonna name her,"ANN.." Sorry, couldn't resist. Guess ya gotta have pull to get the "special sled!" It's great to see other woman get sooo excited about new sleds......We, HARDCORE WOMAN have to stick together. I've always loved playing with the boys and it was taught to me at a very early age...."If you can't keep up, go home!" My husband's so glad I had brothers.

I'm interested in the new '09s. But, I'm a women looking for some advise from other hard core women riding the new ski doos. My current ride is an 02 MXZ 600. So that being said there is no doubt in my mind that the new XP is for me. I was thinking of going with the X package and maybe a Gade. (two other sledders recomended a long track for bump comfort). One of the dealers my husband called said that I might not like the x package. I want a comfortable ride, I want to be able to ride the moguls and not have to pack it up for the day because the bumps are too big and I want to be able to keep up with my husband and his beloved Mach Z when he feels the need to ride a little harder.

Looking for suggestions please.

All right girl, here ya go...I have had a new Ski Doo every year since 2004. 2004-2006 were OK years. I really did not like the 2004 or 2005 - - in 2005 I think they had a problem with the skis and I darted and struggled to turn the sled all year, even with having the skis changed out. 2006 and 2007 were good years with the revs. I don't have any complaints really about those years. I was able to stand easy through the moguls and have always been able to keep up.
Now, 2008 I had the TNT (the XP chassis) and LOVED it. It rode awesome. It was easier to stand up than the pervious years cuz they changed the standing position. Standing seemed more natural this year. The TNT hauled and had no problem keeping up. It turned on a dime and I actually thought that it was like riding my 2003 F5 - - that sled was fun to ride - going fast and hanging off the side of the sled in the corners. I did not have to struggle to turn it at all.
I actually wanted to keep that TNT.
I am not sure that you are gonna like the X package. You are loooking for a comfortable ride......I think that is gonna give you a rougher ride with a stiffer suspension and the long track??? The long track is only fun when going through the deep untouched powder. I have a not seen a big enough difference in the bumps on a long track.
I think the XP is the way to go. Do you stand through the moguls at all??
skidoofans
Well on the ZX chassis that I have now it is real hard to stand. I've ridden my husbands 05 Mach and I like the ability to stand and I thought it was comfortable, but too much throttle. I could get myself in trouble. I get beat up pretty bad on the moguls not being able to stand on my 02 and you have to slow down to go through the bumps. When its flat though its a nice ride and not bad for a newbie like me. I feel comfortable getting on it. My husband and I like riding the trails and the only time we see powder is when we cross Memphramagog. I just want a nice handling (limited or no darting and good turning), comfy sled with a little giddy up and go. Sounds like you guys ride tons. I'm jealous. Do you have a recommendations?

I only rode the '09 800 for a few miles so I don't have alot to go on as far as that goes but I can tell you that I had the old mxz chassis before I bought my rev and it's like night and day.And the XP chassis is even better. You'll be amazed. If you're in the market for an 09' my advice would be to go with the Adrenaline 600. You don't need the X and probably won't be too happy with it if you're strictly a groomed trail rider. The Adrenaline will handle any bumps and plenty of throttle to keep you satisfied. I considered the X also, but don't want a stiff & cold ride because the racing shocks & non existent windshield. I enjoy some bumps, but I'm not looking for them. I enjoy the occasional romp off trail in powder and my sled keeps up with long tracks pretty well. And when you want to just cruise, this sled is comfortable. So, all in all, the Adrenaline would be my vote. If you need any suggestions for Skidoo dealers, Land-n-Sea in Waterbury is a great place to deal with. Ask for Dom. Hope this helps. m2c.gif

Thanks DAMATS I appreciate your opinion. Especially on the 800R part. I'm really comfortable on my 600 but it lags a little across the lake in the deeper snow compared to everyone else, that's why I wondered if a little more power might be the ticket and for God's sakes I don't need a stiffer suspension! I definately understand about the cold ride, that would have been one of the first things that I would have changed. Hey, while I'm asking for anyones opionion. What about that tilt steering option. Bogus or really cool feature?
ct_skidoo2
Skidoofans, the new 600 e-tec may have a few more ponies than the 02 600. Our XP 600 SDI's are pretty peppy and on 1st CT Lake in Pittsburg my son hit 94mph on the dreamometer with his XP X and with my Gade I was maybe a sled length behind - that is when we chickened out and backed off the throttle happy.png. They seemed to have a few more mph in them.

As DAMATS recommends check with Land N Sea, you can't go wrong with those guys.

Thanks I appreciate the info on the 600. I'm very interested and since I have not ridden any of the new sleds, I like to hear what other people that own them think. I noticed you have a Gade and x package. What do you think of your sled? And be honest. You can see from my mileage I don't get to ride nearly as much as I would like. My husband and I had kids (we have a 3 year old)before we became snowmobile junkies. Thank God for Grandparents! I read in Amsnow this month they (the Gade 800R) still corners and handles as nice as a short track. My husband still thinks that I would like a long track better. x package or not.
