skidoofans... Another woman here (I guess you could say hardcore, because I ride with all guys and I keep up and then some)... I did buy an '09 for next year. I went with the 600 Etec in the MXZ TNT package. Anyways, I have an '05 500SS MXZ. It is a huge step up from the ZX chassis, I don't think I would ever curse anyone to ride a ZX. Once you go to the Rev or the XP (which I have yet to try, but couldn't wait and just bought one for myself) you will never go back. I found with my '05 there was a lot of changing of ski pressures because of the precision skiis and other suspension adjustments (just kept the tools in my coat pocket), but once you get it right you can fly over moguls unless they are just ridiculous. If I were you, I would go with a new one, why not? I used to work at the dealership in Wallingford, CT (Hunter's) and from what my old boss told me, it's definitely worth it and the 600 ETec is pretty awesome. Well, that's just my opinion, good luck in whatever you decide, it's always nice to see other women out there kicking rear on the trails.

Same here... I am a school teacher, but snowmobile fanatic during the winter. I went at least every other weekend this winter and then some and put on about 1500 miles. Ride mostly around central VT and did a backpack trip up to Island Pond (Canaan, Derby, etc.) over Feb. vacation.

Oh wow! My husband and I rode a mid January to Mid February. We were first introduced to NEK last year and we've been hooked ever since. We have a 3 yr old so sometimes we can only do short rides unless Grandma has a sleep over and its party time for the parents.

I read on another post that you ride in Buckaroos 302 territory. Is there a lot of trail to ride over there? We went to Chester a couple of weekends ago and I have to say I was not impressed. Its hard to beat DriftDusters trails.

Thanks I appreciate the info on the 600. I'm very interested and since I have not ridden any of the new sleds, I like to hear what other people that own them think. I noticed you have a Gade and x package. What do you think of your sled? And be honest. You can see from my mileage I don't get to ride nearly as much as I would like. My husband and I had kids (we have a 3 year old)before we became snowmobile junkies. Thank God for Grandparents! I read in Amsnow this month they (the Gade 800R) still corners and handles as nice as a short track. My husband still thinks that I would like a long track better. x package or not.
Ahh yes we were there with a young chlid once to. They grow up to fast! Glad you can get out and doo some riding!
The MXZ Adrenaline X package is nice but it is probably something that doesn't really fit our riding style but my son likes it. We put a medium windshield on it and all the bells and whistles add on's. It is a nice sled but a little stiff for me personally.
My Gade I really like. I doo think the 137" rides a little nicer than the 120" - having ridden both. I can't say I really tested the Gade in the deep stuff although there was plenty of that this year. I just had a to make a few rear and front suspension adjustments for my riding style and it grips pretty good now. I would definately get a Renegade again.

The X models are spring models (usually just the X's). The TNT you can get anytime.

I say the X and TNT packages are for a rider with a steal ass! Anyone riding groomed trails 99% of the time
does not need an X or TNT package. If you are riding groomed trails and competing in snow cross competitions get an X or TNT! If your riding back to your home base on a Saturday afternoon and there are three foot moguls and you want to ride above the bumps at stupid speed, get an X or TNT.
True story: anyone who rides 114 between Mings and downtown IP on a Saturday afternoon during vacation week knows how beat up the trail gets, right? We're talking 1 to 4 feet moguls, get the picture? We swapped and I took the TNT thru that hell one afternoon and bottom out ONCE! That is how damn stiff that sled is.
We have both a TNT and an Adrenaline. I like the Adrenaline WAY MORE and next season we will have two Adrenalines.
As far as long track vs. std. track, that is personal prefrence and the only way to find out for yourself is to try them both. I did 4500 miles this season in the NEK and northern NH on a short track. Several of those times were breaking trail almost all day. We got stuck once here and there but that was part of the fun!

Skidoofans, if you want to check close® to home, check with green mountain power sports, friend of mine owns it. I tried out the E-Tec there, was very impressed, though the 800r was amazeing (considering the guy who rides it is a snow crosser and its set for him). I love the feel of the e-tec, and the tnt is so light, so nimble. I love my nytro, no doubt, but that e-tec is a winner if it stays healthy (hopefully) and there is always the 1200 4 stroke. Anyway, if you want to try closer to home, try gmps, good guys to deal with in any case.

Right place, right time. Maybe I used 'break' too liberaly and should have said we've ridden 1/2 a dozen times this season with a fresh 6 to 12 inches on top of the groomed stuff making first tracks. Though I would say Good Friday we were breaking trail a lot of miles due to the drifts!
