Tons of snow, roads to ride on, never groomed. Snobuster trails were beat to death, areas north of Kellystand were beautiful as they had beeen groomed in recent history. Mt tabor was beautiful, I rode all the little trails that criscross the mountain and it was snowmobile heaven, anything snowbusters was snowmobile hell, looks like it has not been groomed since february. I did 158 miles, 18 of which were snobusters, none of their trails were groomed.

That's disappointing! My buddy called up there on Tuesday and they told him they were going to groom after the storm (not sure who he talked to). Whoever it was told him that they had not planned on grooming again but changed their minds because of the new storm. I guess they decided not to groom after all.
I was planning on heading up on Monday for one last ride but I guess if I go at all, I should plan on parking somewhere north of the Snobusters trails.
Thanks for the info!

Woodford was groomed friday night, I just missed it. It is probably all whooped up by now, I heard traffic was heavy all day there.

Rode from Bromley, through Woodford, to Peter's for gas in Mass. Trails were great till early afternoon, the ride home was a whole different story, It started to rain pretty hard and the trails were destroyed from traffic. I agree the feeder trails were in decent condition.
130 miles total. Great way to end the season!

It is too bad that the Woodford Groomers broke down Sat. and couldn't be used to groom Sat. night. The trails didn't really need grooming, the bumps were only about 6 feet or so. Do you wait until it feels like you are climbing a mountain when you are grooming. I felt like I was climbing one today. Could have been great but as usual it just plain sucked!!!!! :cn:

Sun March 21, Took Daytrippers advice and headed North out of Grout Pond at 7am, wooped until we hit Jenks intersection, and then it was smooth sailing up 7N. All of Mt Tabor was excellent. Just hated the fact that I had to do 10 miles of mogul jumping on the way back. Plenty of snow - just no grooming down by Grout Pond.
Thanks Daytripper for all your reports this year.

Hey DJSF7, unload at the pull-off on rt 11 out of Manchester. Talked to a guy on the way back that said 5 or 6 miles past Jenks the trails were beautiful going north. They had their groomers out last night I guess. :cn:

We rode out of Bromley on Saturday. Going south on 7, the trails had snow but were bumpy. Same going north but smaller bumps. Traffic was light I think for a Saturday. I was just happy to get one last ride in. :fluffy:

Thats too bad that you all thought Woodford was terrible Saturday Am. I guess you just didn't get up early enough. We started at the parking lot on Rt 11 just outside of Manchester at 6:45 and headed South from there. The first 17 miles were not perfect but they were pretty good. However, when we reached Kellys Stand it was all freshly groomed down to Woodford. It was like riding on a table top!!! I will agree though that as the day went on it started to get pretty beat up. Even by 10:30 on our way back it was starting to become like riding on an ocean. All in all it was a good last ride (even though I'm sure you could ride again this week) We did 100 miles and were loaded back onto the trailer by Noon.
Thanks to everyone for their honest posts....they really help.
