Hey guys i have a 2004 rmk 800 with SLP performance package and jetting and in any elevations that i ride in and being jetted correctly, i got the chart from SLP and follow them and i have a bottom end stutter/stumble. If im stopped and i pinch the throttle it stumbles for bout 3 secs and then takes off. Im out in wyoming now and with a bottom end stumble it sucks in the deep snow.
Any help would be great thanks

Try adjusting fuel/air screws. In on fuel screw leans it,out on air screw leans it.Do 1/8 to 1/4 turns at a time.Lightly seat the screw counting how many turns it takes and write it down.Tune from there. It'll take some time.

which one is the air screw. if your sitting on the seat of the sled there is one screw with a spring on it on the right lower part of both carbs. is that the fuel screw. where is the air screw. does anyone have a starting point like the number of turns i should start at and work out from there?
Thanks for your help in advance

The fuel screws should have a little plastic knob on the head to turn them with.. i think mine are white... I'd start at 1 1/4 turns out

Think of it this way....split the carbs down the middle. Whatever is towards the front of the carb = fuel, whatever is on airbox side = air

If your sitting on the sled, the fuel/air screw is on the left side of the carbs with a small spring, you might need to change your pilot air jet one size up as well. what altitude are you running at?

If I remember right, sold it last year, my fuel and air screw were both at 1-1/4. Mine never stumbled with stock settings, but you could hear a blubber in the pipe and poor mpg. No wory of melt down by adusting these screws with SLP's main jet recomendations. Could also be clutching.
