Can you ride from Shawinigian to Saguney in a day. How many miles and how long would it take. Thinking of riding next week and would like to leave Bernards and stay at the HI
MrGutz
yes, the only area to worry about is close to the lower edge of LSJ (May be thin), it's about 250miles.

I wouldn't worry about grooming yet, there is so little traffic, we just did a 850 mile loop in the gaspe and I think we passed maybe 30 sleds!

It's doable. Did it back on March 1st. It was either 270 or 290 miles. Lower LSJ was at that time thinner than the rest of the trails but nothing to worry about.

If I can get my group of goofballs to do it, anyone can do it and we did it when 355 wasn't open. I agree with figuring 270 miles for the whole day with detours eating etc. Don't know what conditions are in St Raymond but starting there makes it that much easier. Depending on your group your moving average will be 30 to 40 mph, maybe more if you guys can haul the mail and conditions aren't bad.
