Hi all,

I was thinking about one last trip this coming weekend and was looking north. One idea was to truck to New Liskeard Friday afternoon and then run the cross border abitibi loop up through Kirkland Lake, Rouyn Noranda and La Sarre and then onto Cochrane and back south. Two day trip was all I was thinking ideally ending early Sunday. Is this a reasonable two day trip? The tata website says it's about 400 miles. Where would be best to stay and where do I get day passes for quebec that will support the trails in the area? Ideally I would like to spend the night in Ontario as I'm only buying day passes for one day. Does Quebec honour the next days pass after 4:00pm like we used to do in Ontario if we wanted to stay in La Sarre? Are the trails still good on this loop, or should I look at something else. Any local or experienced knowledge is much appreciated. I've never ridden north of New Liskeard.

If you park in New Liskeard shoot across the lake get to Quebec. The ride to La Sarre is quite nice.
The 1 day pass is good till midnight the next day we stayed at a place right beside the bar/bistro called le Reve'
not bad accomadation a little dated but decent. The ride from there to cochrane is about 125 miles mostly rail line.
Any other ? I can help you with just let me know
