after an amasing esterweekend my crossfire7 wont rev as it shoud. itīs a stocker whit ip and supertips and orange spring in secondery.
before my trip i put on a ultimax xs belt and lost 2 grams on the top of the weights. revs where okey altouge a little low. about 7600-7700.
i have done ALOT of full trothle driving. sometimes 2-3 minuts whitout letting go at al.
now the revs ar down to 7200-7300.

what is my problem? can the springs in the clutch lose itīs tension due to heet? can the exhaust ports be the problem? or what about the pistons or the pistonrings?

any idea wher to start? ideas?

Sounds like you need to take more weight out. I have mine @ 7800rpm at long pulls. With that soft belt, I would try @ 68-70 grams.

Did you check to see if the preload backed off on the secondary? They are almost guaranteed to do that eventually, unless you do something to lock the adjuster in place, or add a shift assist.

okey, checked a bit more today. had a friend lift the sled and the exhaust ports seem to work, kompresion was 9.9 bar exaktly the same on both cylinders and exaktly the same as my buddys m7.
tryed a new cat belt from the m7 and tryed his sekundery. alsow tryed to change the primery spring.

nothing of this made any differens. revs ar 7300-7400. feels to run pretty good but missing revs.
i will try to take some weight of. but i have run this setup al winter and hit about 7900-8000 whit stock belt. remember i did try a stock belt today!
can the pistonrings be bad even if the kompretion is good?

edit, my secondery has shift asist and oragne spring. spring has not backed out. my buddys m7 revs 7900-8000.

I would now say conditions !!! Heavier snow, warmer temps??? M-series are geared lower, so they would be less effected by them. Get on a good road and see what your rpm's are. Good Luck.

Make sure your exhaust valves are working.Pull them out off the cylinders and make sure they are moving freely.

check to see if itis the rollers in the clutches..Are the clutches sticking at all(engaged eevn when idling?. Just a thought. Had my rollers start to go bad in the primary and then it wouldnt rev up all the way and would start to shake due to the weights starting to get worn down

Sounds like a spider binding.Something is worn out. Had afriend withthe same problem kept on putting on lighter and lighter weights couldn't pull revs.Ended up spider was worn.

maybe i think in the wrong way, but... if something is binding in the primary i whoud belive that the rpm shoud go higer and not lower.
worn spider you say? what exaktly was worn? the plastik buttons? center buching(<--proper spelling?)

keep em coming. i havent had a chans to check any on the sled the last week. to mutch work...
mr p-j
i found a worn out roller in the spider. i wanted to try the sled before i post hear again but spring is here so i canīt try it out.
but i hope that the roller was the problem.

thanks catlady.
