what is the best time to find antler sheds?
Ammoeater
Before the porcupines and mice eat them. Usually Feb- April is a good time. Here's a good article http://www.huntingmag.com/big_game/antler_031405/

any others say, or any tips to finding them?

Try looking in the thicker tags or swamps. The branches will sometimes knock antlers lose in the fall. Best to go when the spring is near but the ground is still frozen. Muddy walking makes it difficult.

Best time is now. Snow is retreating and the sheds are still in near original condition and color. Don't take long and the critters chew them up and sun starts to bleach them white. Try to find areas where the bucks spent most of the mid to late winter feeding and bedding and the well used trails between the two areas. If you want to find deer sheds you got to find where the bucks spent a lot of time this winter. Good luck.

my dog usually brings them in for me, when he was alive. He brought back a half of a 14 pointer, half or a big ass 10, and a full skull and rack of a 8 pointer(must have been there a while there was nothing left but bone). But to answer you question, there is no better time then now to go looking for them.

Now when the snow is melting.....Like mentioned above find used trails and bedding areas where the bucks were during the winter......Good luck!!

Right time= depends on where you live and how much snow on the ground. I found these early winter this year and these others were found early May last year
