"Due to deteriorating trail conditions, the entire Langlade County snowmobiler-funded public snowmobile trail system will be officially closed for the season effective 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008.

The Langlade County Snowmobile Ordinance prohibits snowmobilers and all-terrain vehicles from operating on the above trails. Anyone operating on the above trails will be prosecuted.

Also, the Parrish Highlander and Augustyn Springs ATV trails are closed until May 1, 2008.

That means only 36 days until I can hit the trails with the new ATV!

I always wonder why it takes so long to open the ATV trails after the snow melts?

I think most of the clubs call it "Spring Break-up" It allows the ground time to firm back up after the spring thaw, so the trails don't get completely rutted up.
