My 11 month yellow lab passed away today. The cause of death was his lungs collapsed out of the blue. If anybody has any black or yellow purebred puppies for sale would you let me know please.

I trained my dog (lab) to stay in the yard but he began to wander. Ended up a block away in the highway. My second dog (lab) was trained so there could be a steak strapped to a bitch in heat running full bore for my property line and he would stop dead in his tracks.
Get another dog and learn from any training mistakes that you may have made. That helped me out.

That's terrible to lose a pal like that. Try Googling "Yellow Labs" you'll find lots.

That blows man. Really sorry to hear that. Sounds like he may have had Parvo, which shuts down everything, especially in puppies. We lost our Cockapoo suddenly one night to a seizure, but he was very sick and 13 years old. We got a Goldendoodle pup 1 week later, beautiful pup. He was not right when we picked him up. In the vet 1 day later, found he got parvo while still at the breeder. he died 4 days later. We were devastated dealing with so much loss in such a short period of time. We had to wait 6 mos. to get another pup, due to the fact that Parvo can stay in your house and yard for up to 18 mos. We bleached the entire house and I had to bleach the back yard too. My yard hasn't been right since, but we were able to find our Sully, 105 lb. goldendoodle who couldn't be a better companion.
Hang in there and good luck, you'll find another pup soon.

Parvo is a virus and would not have caused a collapsed lung. Sounds like a remaining injury from the accident 6 months ago.
Either way...sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine what your going through.
Here's my yellow lab Kash. We are currently waiting on our second puppy, which should be born in 4-5 months (been waiting since last August!).

Beautiful dog....im so sorry.I know how you feel, its like losing any other family member.I lost my first English Mastiff "Simon" when he was 3.He had bad hip displaysia and eventually lost feeling in his hind legs, so we had to put him down.We were crushed.I went and got another english mastiff.Again we grew very close to him and he was such a great dog.At 1.5 years old we lost him,his spleen ruptured(bloat) and he died almost instantly. We are now on our 3rd English mastiff and so far he is doing great. He is a little over a year now.

Sorry for your loss. This past Friday I had to put down my lab of sixteen years. To date one of the hardest things I have ever done. Being highly prejiduced, he was the best lab I have ever been around, both in the field and in the home. So much so that I am struggling with the idea of getting another lab( or dog for that matter). He truly was a dog of a lifetime. I sure miss him.

This is probably the biggest emotional thing a pet lover will go through. I just can't understand why some people feel no mercy when they lose a pet. I personally could not live with out my pets. They bring so much enjoyment each day.

Sorry to hear about your loss. The WORST day of my life when I lost my 14 year old Black lab.
Here is the newest addition to the family, 10 weeks old. He has a 4 year old Big Brother. He is already sitting, raismg paw and lying down on command.........unbelievable.

I just happen to see this topic and had to send my condolences. Our 2 goldens are our children. Hope this sends you some peace:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

X2 Having to put down a 5 month old puppy with a broken back is the real heart breaker. Still have not got the courage yet to spread his ashes
