We arrived at Hotel Universal on Monday March 17, and put the trucks in the locked corral, went for a short 50 mile loop to check out the conditions, all flat and smooth! Left Tues. for Matane trails mint the whole way! Blue skies temps in 20's, about 205 miles. checked in to Riotel and left for New Richmond in the morning. Wed took Tq5 to the 595 through la cache to the Francis hotel, again blus skies, trails all mint, very few sleds! We did run into a Toyota on the trail stuck! A lady and an old man with a guy trying to dig them out, with the six of us and a tow strap to the yamaha apex we where able to get them out and on there way! Thur the snow started in the morning, had lunch in Point-a-la-croix where it turned to freezing rain and iced up the shield constantly. We met a great couple there from ontario who we would end up riding with for the next few days. As we continued to Amqui it turned back to snow on the 587 and started to get heavy by the time we got to the Ambassador hotel, they have a garage for the sleds there which is great! Woke up Fri morning and that's when the trouble began! We got about 200 yards from the hotel and you couldn't find the trail markers and was at least 2 ft of snow so everyone is stuck deep! After an hour we are out and take Rt.132 to another trail crossing where we picked up the couple from Ontario again! We tried to break trail for about 5 miles and it took about 3 hours! Finally came to another road crossing got back on the road and took that back to Rt. 132 which we took from Amqui to Trois pistoles. I've never ridden on highway before especially that far, which was closed from Rimouski to RDL. At Trois Pistoles the police wouldn't let us ride any farther cause A, we aren't supposed to be on the highwAY, and B it was impassable, the plows couldn't even get through due to high winds. Got the last 3 rooms or we would have had to sleep in the school. Sat morning we set out again snow pile to high to get on the trail and we take the highway again half way to Rdl till we fiund a trail crossing to jump off the highway. Less snow from the storm there and we where able to work our way through the drifts to the Universal by noon. Loaded up and drove nine hours home! There is an amazing amount of snow there, if anyone is thinking of going, GO! low traffic, trails where great! If I wasn't going to Jamaica April 19th I would be back up for sure, The Jamaica trip is the thank you for my wife and kids for letting me spend 25 days in Quebec this year and 3400+ miles. It was a pleasure to meet you Groomer, we rode by the club house Thur evening but we didn't stop cause of the heavy snow! Some pics from the trip

Glad you guys made it safely back.
Know two guys from NY that were stuck in a field and stayed under the trees overnight east of the riotel.
Yeh, Jamacia, I had to do that to.
