147 miles today from Bolton (met groomer on route 2 - thanks Gene!) to Northfield and all over Camels Hump. First tracks on most trails this morning - still hitting untracked trail at 10 am - hats off to Doug Wilson and crew. No pics - camera was dead - too bad, one of the clearest days I've ridenall year. South facing slope down into Waitsfield (Jay's Restaurant and the Mobil) is thin with several bare spots, and the fields along the river were thin here and there as well. Other than those few areas, and the roads, there is plenty of snow - should be able to ride higher elevations until the end of the season if you can get there. Met 17 sleds all day and almost as many cross country skiers and hikers - ride with extra caution as the warmer temps/sunny days bring out everybody and they each have a dog too!!!
