29 WSA Snowmobile Hillcross Races
Saturday March 29th and Sunday March 30th. The WSA Snowmobile Hillcross races will return to Cascade Mountain for another year of racing and madness. The racers climb the North Wall or Cindy Pop depending on the category entered. Huge machines, warm weather and a great atmosphere make this a fun after-season event to attend. Racer Check-In is from 9am to 11am on Saturday. Practice begins at 11am Saturday. Racing starts at noon. Spectator cost is $15 per day or $25 for both days. Kids 12 and under receive free admission. Racer gate fee is $15 for both days (must provide proof of racing).
NO Carry On Alcohol! Wristbands required to enter event. Please visit Pro-Ice for registration information.

I raced there last year, in the hill drags. Improved 600. For the one day membership, insurance for the day, paying for the class you entered, and the gate fee, yep, the racers have to pay the gate fee also. All in all, it was almost $100 to race one class. And, their was nobody else in my class, so I jumped up into the 900 class, where my friend was racing, and one other sled. So I made 3-5 practice runs, and actually raced 3 times, all for 100 bucks. I did win a real cheesy plexiglass plaque that says "Hilldrags WSA Racing 1st place"

I will go to watch this year, not race though. The hillcross guys are impressive to watch!

where are the spectators allowed to go? can they line the route of the hill and watch anywhere? or do they limit you to where you can watch. I have skied there and this sounds like a blast to see.

You can climb one side of the hill and watch anywhere from bottom to top.

In the past, they have sold lift passes so you can see them run from high above too. There will be a Yamaha demo event again as well, so bring your helmet with. I won't be racing there this year, but I will be wrenching for #64 Ben Deaton, who is leading the points in all 5 Pro classes. Here's a pic from a couple years ago in Duluth-
