Trailered up to Eustis yesterday and unloaded at the Pines Market parking lot. Rode up to Coburn Gore.... saw a total of 3 sleds on the way up......Trail was excellant....... Headed south and rode to Grand Falls.....trail was heavily traveled but in good shape. Hats off to the Eustis/Strattom club...... Total miles 110 note a bad short run.... The only negitive for the the day was that power was out at the Pines Market. Someone hit a telephone down by Flagstaff and they cut power to replaced the pole. I hate to think how much gas sales they lost.......

We rode from Rangeley to Carrabasset at Ayottes store and we took the alternate trail to the Bigelow Lodge. It runs the old entrance road and was 70mph 12 mile fast. Lodge closed last week for the season so we headed back to Rangeley via Kennabago Mountain. Best day of the year! Helmets off to all the clubs the trails were sweet!

Hi Frank......how did you get to Carrabasset....down past the Bigelow Lodge...on the Back Fly loop.
Didn't get to ride this weekend with Easter and all...but heading up on Thursday and may go over to Eustis or down to Andover , or maybe both. Do you know if youCan you get back up into Caribou Valley from south of Straten...we ude to do that just north of the entrance to Sugarloaf. It then makes a nice loop back to Rangeley.

Good thing you didn't need gas there. We've crawled into Pines many times on fumes...

We stayed west in Stratton and ran the ridge trail to Ayottes. On the way back we took the alt trail on the right to Bigelow Lodge (main road) not plowed but groomed flat as a pancake! I saw the right on the way to Carrabasset that goes to Sugarloaf but we didn't take it. There is actually more snow in some spots than in Rangeley. We sneaked in a ride Sat and headed home early sat for easter dinner at 2...lol
Trails are real nice but The Lodge is closed and the trail across the river has changed to Ayottes. It runs across the bridge and then you go right to Ayottes or left to continue to Kingfield and on the Black Fly loop.

Big Sledda
We had the need for gas also at pines market. We got out the siphon hose and 3 out of the group of 5 rode back to Rangeley Lake Resorts and I came back to pick up my brother & REVME800 with the truck. And just as we loaded the sleds on the trailer the lights go on in the store. veryangry.gif
