So I got 2 prices and I can't believe how much more these dealers up here are asking. Looked at other sites with people from NY, MI, WI, etc. and the prices are $300 - $500 cheaper.
MXZ X 600 E-Tec $9709.00 and $9829.00 that's without tax as such. Seems high, anyone else have some pricing?

MSRP is $10,199, right? So they took about $500 off retail and don't belive everything you read.
Please don't take this personaly but, most Cat guys are use to big discounts and/or MFG rebates because they arn't selling. I was over in Erol NH today and stoped in LL Cote for a quick break and we counted 30 leftover Cats on the floor with more outside. Check around New England and you won't find too many leftover Doos which means no MFG rebates or heavy discounting.

Not exactly sure where being a Cat guy makes me think I should get a better deal. LOL
I'm saying I've seen posts on sites including this one where the price was $700 - $800 off of list for the exact same thing. Most of them were not from this area.

IMO the heavily discounted sleds are the leftovers. I second trying Land N Sea - they also ride up in the NEK all winter. You mentioned an X in your post. I do not think the X's discount as much as non X's unless mid to late season and a dealer still has one or gets one in late. I see doo has thier spring order special going on.
If the difference is a few hundred I would tend to go with a dealer I would trust and is known for service and reputation. I may pay a little more up front but I more than make up for it when I need service done right or other goodies later.
p.s. I think SnowCrazed was just pointing out when manufacturers are having slow sales and high inventory the factory and dealer rebates and discounts get larger. Doo doesn't have that problem right now so thier incentives are not great but two years ago they had some decent rebate programs when I bought my 2006 MXZ.
Why your seeing prices on doo's vary what seems to be alot regionally I do not know.

You always have the option of negotiation. To me a difference of $300 is minimal, especially when talking about $10k worth of product. I'll happily take my business elsewhere to save a grand or more, but for a hundred or 2 hundred bucks, I'd rather go to a local dealer that I trust. On the other hand, I have no problems doing my best to get the lowest price possible out of my local dealer, which brings me to my point. Have you talked to the local dealers to see what you can really buy it for?

I was in a small dealer ship in southern CT called A.T.E. (American Truck Equipment) Women behind the counter quoted me $8,750 for a 09 600 E-Tec sitting on the showroom floor, That was about 2 weeks ago
one ton fun

I would gladly pay 300 bucks more for a sled if it was a difference in dealership. I generally like to deal with the dealer closest to me. When my sled needs work it is nice not to have to spend a ton of money in gas to take it far away to be fixed. I am also fortunate that the dealer closest to me is IMO the best Yamaha dealer in the state.
