We were up all weekend, put on over 100 miles, condition's are flat and fast,on most of the trails on the top of the hill, over towards collingwood, fire rd awsome,10,7,11,14,higgins mt all good, watch for a few washouts,we got a few inches of fresh for good lube.

Be prepared for LOTS of ice. I was up Sunday for a short run and there is more bad than good. Lube is getting to be a problem.

If we get the snow, that should be enough for lube.....I'm not running studs..do you think it is worth going up?? or should wait and go to the highlands again?? Ice will be a problem everywhere i suppose... summer_sucks.gif

still cool in the mng but later in the day the ice softens up
from sutherlands club house over higgins mtn the going is excellent
to folly and the lake fine with just a few narrow spots that are well marked
sunday saw 2 sleds only and you can still put miles on as long as you stay up top or in the woods
went within 5 k,s of the north shore club but then on impassable
either people dont know or they have had enough but still better then all of last year

If it snows it will certainly help. There are spots that are great going, you just have to be prepared for ice, bare spots etc.
I guess it's a matter of how bad you want to sled thumbsup.png

Not the greatest lube, but it worked.

It was very slick near the Tower. Went down the power line and had a good run down there. Very smooth. Trails were good over near Sutherlands Lake.
Got lost in a hardwood hill, but it was worth it. Absolutely amazing inside the hardwood hills.

wife and i were out for a couple hours yesterday. It was snowing real good..probably 10-15cm down. Lots and lots of ice when we started out. Quite decent coming back. Rained over night in Amherst. If it didnt change to rain on the mountain it should be pretty fine running.
aburchell44
thats amazing. grass all around in Springhill, Amherst and Truro.

All it would need up top was a few inches of snow un top of the ice.

It was very greasy from Folly to Sutherlands, but once you got in the sheltered spots it was pretty nice.

Sutherlands Lake and area has lots of fresh heavy wet snow to lube the sleds and trails are great.

Was riding March 27th 8pm

This is good news. I was up twice this week. Was very slick. This is some much needed last minute snow. !!!!

That sounds awesome. You guys are making me jealous!! Wish I could go...... The last trip i took a month ago, ended up being air lifted from Folley Mtn to QE2 hospital. Gotta learn to drive better I guess!

Luckily starting to feel better. Sore as hell though but to be expected for a bit. Have a graet weekend on the mountain. Drive CAREFULLY!

Good to see you here on HCS and that you are starting to feel better. I grew up as a kid thinking you and Darren were two of the best snowmobilers in Westchester!

I also remember thinking your old sled had more pop rivets then any other I had ever seen in my life.

Growing up and learning how to ride I went through a few pop rivits myself.
