From what I understand and have read on the big block tripples you are money ahead to buy just the reed petals and not the complete cage set-up like the v-force. If I were you I'd do a search to see what has been said on here! Plus it's cheaper too!!

http://www.hardcoresledder.com/forums/inde...p;hl=reed+cages ---- There is absolutely no sense in WASTING your money on V-Force, their a good product "BUT" for some reason AC triples just seem to respond to Boysens as good or better then V-Force and they are roughly 1/3 the price plus another benefit is that the Boysens are not prone to breakage like the V-Force and last much longer.Use your stock cages and following the link above "mod" your stock cages as shown in the link, tools needed are minimal and it takes about a hour of your time, and just think the money you save will give you a day or two of gas & oil money for riding that beast.

How can a generic product model like V-force be better then a sled specific design like boyesen? I have the boyesens and love them. Reeds don't make any sence unless you have some good mods done eg: pipes, airbox gut, timing, porting etc..

How can anyone that ever built a big cat say that just replacing the pedals on a stock cage be better then a v force. The best v force are still the original aluminum cage . V force still makes pedals for them if you contact them. You can do all the mods you can to a stock cage and it will never flow or respond as well as the worst v force.

I like the origional aluminum cage vforce deltas. Dynotech is one of this sites supporters, for 20 or 25 bucks , you can join for a year, a get access to dyno reports testing aftermarket parts on all of the new and older sleds. You can see what a set of vforce reeds did on a stock zrt800 on on a 1000tcat. You can find these things on Ebay for around $120.00 or so, great bang for the buck. Yes the boysens work on the stock cages, but with they have to be ground out and not everyone has a diegrinder handy. Personally I would choose the vforce. I you search back in these threads, I think Jonathen (87GTNOS) did a topic with pictures on porting the stock cages.

has anybody ever used "boswell" reeds and cages? I just picked up an old 95 t-cat with these reeds on it. From the outside they look prety trick, machined aluminum with rubber hose style clamps instead of carb boots. can you still get petals for them? thanks, any info would be appreciated.

Bosswell made some cool carburators a few years ago, I think the company died off. I'll try and google them. I did'nt know they make reeds though.

Boswell is in jail., sentenced for a number os security fraud chrges in 2001, I had heard and I think read some articles on this guy years ago, but it seems he was mainly into taking people for their money. I would see if you could match up the petals with Boyesons, vforce or others and see if you can find a match.

Boswell was in Wisconsin I think and he was working on boundry layer theory for carburetion and induction systems mainly on snowmobiles and small engines that I remember. I don't know if his "stuff" worked or not. He had some products on Eagle River winning sleds for a couple of years. Sometimes these guys are great therorists but are bad business people and get in trouble financially. Just my recolection and .02. Peace, beeler

Vforce rot in hell. I have had so many v force petals explode and just disenegrate and leave empty holes in their place. Boyseen is the route to go. All these people bragging about vforce have no understanding on vforce being a 10 year old company and only having 10 years under their belt.. Boyseen has been around for 30 or more years.. who would you take advice from a 10 year old or a 30 year old?

Find some V-Force 2, these are better that the 3's for the triples.
