Why don't you park at Kenyon's Store right in Waitsfield?
Groomed access trail right there, just a few hundred yards from the VAST parking lot and its a lot bigger.
Go route 100 North (about 45 minutes from the 100/4 split) through Warren and Waitsfield then look for Kenyons on the right (large barn/feed store).
