It's a stock 92 650 triple with EFI. I can't seem to get it to idle even if I crank the throttle cable down. It will for a few minutes but then drops right down. If I feather it its fine but not if I let go. the other issue is that unless I'm feathering the gas and then take off it falls flat on its face then goes like a SOB. The gas is new and the throttle bodies and air box are cleaned and all seems to be in place. Any thoughts. It has 112 MAG, 120 CTR and 115 PTO for PSI if that helps. One more thing what octane should I be using.

Throttle cable tension should NOT be used for setting the idle speed on the engine. You need 1/8" of slack in the throttle cable to ensure that the carbs or EFI doesn't hang open and run you into the nearest immovable object.
On the EFI throttlebodies, there should be a screw of some sort that sets the idle speed. Put some slack back in the throttle cable and find the idle speed screw.
