Left Derby on a freshly groomed 105 to 105A. Took 105A to 111, to 111A to 2000. Trails were nearly perfect, but be cautious on 111 south of the junction with 105. There is a bad hole on the right side of the trail where it crosses an outcropping of ledge that has water running over it. From EX 282 took 114 to 114C, to 106C to 106 and then to 97A. It was then on to 97 to 96 to 103 to Colebrook. 103 from near EX 503 to Colebrook hasn't been groomed for awhile, and there is a tree leaning across the trail, but you can get under it. Snow was a little thin on 103 when it got down into the valley and around Colebrook Village, but passable everywhere. Took NH 18 to my camp near the junction of 18 & 5, then back on 18 to 126. Once out of the valley around Colebrook Village snow cover was good and trails were great. Took 126 to 21 to 21A to W. Stewartstown, then crossed the river to Canaan, VT. Snow around Canaan Village was thin in places, but once back on 105 with a little more elevation the conditions were near perfect. Lots of snow and grooming was fantastic. The 105 detour over Brosseau Mt. was a little mushy on the south side, but on the north side of the mountain it was good. 105 around Norton was good, but the Hurricane Brook Rd. is getting thin in spots. If the snow forecast for later this week materializes and it stays cold as forecast, it should be good for another couple weeks. 105 through Holland and Derby was OK, but could use a groomer tonight. Did a total of 150 miles leaving home at 8:30 AM and returning at 3:00 PM. On the whole the conditions were excellent for this time of year. Trails at all elevations are showing some bare spots on the corners and south facing slopes, but that is to be expected by mid-March. There's still time for a great ride, so get there and enjoy it while it lasts.

Our groomer is out as I type... thanks for the report.
