How are the trails and snow conditions? Heading there thrusday afternoon and need to know if we should go else where instead? Icy? Crusty?

I'd say everywhere is icy and crusty. We still have plenty of snow in our area, but the guys who went this weekend said it was hard as rock and they even were not breaking through the crust out in the fields. We had about 3cm of fresh in the last couple of days, so that should help with cooling.

Still lots of snow in Flin Flon area. Trails are not to bad and the deep snow is still good but there is about a 1/2" crust on the top. Starting to get some slush on the lakes also. We got about a inch of snow since the last day it melted here.

Well im not too sure what to say about all this then. Dont want to go that far and have crappy icy conditions the entire time. Are the clubs still grooming? Or done for the year?

candle lake had the groomers going for the weekend, but i'm not sure if they will be going for this weekend, maybe call one of the gas stations, they are usually pretty informed by the club

Trails are still in great shape here in Hudson Bay. Did 100 miles over the weekend...up to Bankside Lake (Deep Powder on the lake, had a blast). Its been cold here during the night around -20C...and we have probably got 5-10cm of fresh snow. The trails through the feilds are kinda icy...gotta hit the feilds now and then to cool off the slides...but once your in the forest...they are awesome. Lots of sleds were out over the weekend.

When I went riding on sunday I got stuck in powder that was up to my seat. The crust on top of the deep snow is not all that bad. I went for a ride around Flin Flin and some of the trails were just groomed.

Great trails and lots of snow still and very friendly people. Worth the drive and will go again next year hopefully.
