We left Newport at 8:30, cold, fantastic trails. They were smooth and FAST. As we headed east, it got warmer and warmer. I started removing layers, till I went with the farmer john look. Do you think it will catch on? Perhaps I can get into fashion design in the off season....

I was in Canaan Early Thursday, and it started off pretty cold. But got warmer each day. Spring starts this week, and its really starting to show even way up north .

You arent kidding. I just got done riding in Derby and the trails in town are trashed. They got groomed last night. Now the temp has dropped so things should start shaping up better.

It sure was warm! Too warm. We were in Cannan and I was wearing my jacked unzipped with a tee-shirt under it sweating. The trails were pretty slidy which was fun but they got chewed pretty good, especially 114 from Island pond to Newark. BAADD.

I couldnt believe it Saturday, but somehow Trail 97 remained un-bumped. We were cruising down the trail
around 2:00pm or so, and it was perfectly flat. 97/97A that is.

I left my jacket unzipped, and was purposley getting in the way of snow-spray from the sled in front of me
to cool down.

What a great day of riding though. Theirs still feet of snow in the hills.

I wore a shell, with a T-shirt. Plenty for a day like that.
