I'm not familiar with Ski-Doos, but the girlfriend rode one last year and now she wants one...so anyway, I'm probably gonna ask a stupid question here. What is the the difference between an adrenaline pacakge and a regular mxz?

Well, The Adrenaline in the basic production sled with the 600 and 800 motors, the MXZ trail this year is the TNT (much cheaper) which has the 500ss motor (597cc) which is plenty fast enough if your not gonna take er' to the lake.

The MXZ has a trail model with 500 SS motor with cheaper shocks and price tag called the MXZ TRAIL. Then the MXZ Adrenaline with HPG shocks and either the 600 e-tech or 800r motor.

The TNT is a better shock package than either of the above so it's priced higher than either with the above motors. The TNT shocks are rebuildable. You can also get the TNT with the 4 stroke.

The MXZ X package is spring order only and has the top of the line shocks.

X and TNT have rock hard uncomfortable seats, no trunks and a worthless windshield.

Trail and Adrenaline have a comfortable seat, seat trunk and a medium height windshield.

If I knew now what I didn't know when we ordered our TNT last spring we would have ordered a Trail MXZ. It's unlikely we would ever blow a shock and if we did, the motion control shocks on the Trail are cheap enough to replace. If you buy an X or TNT plan on a very stiff riding sled and/or sending the shocks out to have them re-valved and buying a new seat. The 500ss is a great package but if you have the cash go for the e-tec (or SDI if you can find a leftover or a decent used sled). The e-tec and SDI are quieter, smoke less, smell less and have smoother response than the 500ss.

Side note: allegedly the 2009 Xs and TNTs will have the same seat foam as the Adrenaline. If you spring order an Trail, Adrenaline or TNT you can get electric start for free and a choice of extended warrantee, zero financing for three months or gear cash. X's only get one choice and IMO electric start is the only choice, especially for wives! Doo sold so well this year there are no special deals on leftovers.
