John,

About 20 miles north of Watson Lake Yukon I saw snow, I saw HUGE UNTOUCHED snow......I saw it and all I could think of was the smile that place would have put on your face!
As I was driving down the highway you could see open fields and tight twisty narrow rivers that went on forever and all untouched. BIG FLUFF, you or any of us would have had snow over the hoods all day long. Sounds like a trip we need to plan. Half way for both of us!!
Damn, it was SO awesome!

You know, I know exactly where you are talking about. I remember riding thru there last year and saying how nice it would be to do a spring break there Watson Lake is an awesome area and it's pretty isolated winter time.I would bet the locals are just coming out of hibernation, since it's now just getting above zero.

Safe Travels!!!!!

I was thinking about you Sunday when we were riding the Poker Run..........TBlooma practically endoed his 151" I will explain more later....no major injuries but some sore ribs. It was a wierd ride as it was easier to run thru the overflow then it was to try to avoid it or run the trails that had run thru it (rougher then he%%).

I ran the F8 and I am sold on the chassis. I got on my old sled and felt like I was riding on the ground. I ran a top speed of 90 mph on GPS thru the wet snow/slush........it needs a track and studs. Some of the over flow was better then knee deep as we found out when we stopped to help a stuck freighter on the river. But never a second thought about it when we were up and running.

The endoe was weird. He was just in front of me and off right, we just came down off a low bank(~3 feet), 10 yards after the drop down he set the front down and the rear decided to go over the front, it rode the one or the other front skis for almost 25 yards before coming to rest on it's right side. Tim was wrapped around the bars with his lanky legs and was using the spaces between his ribs to to hold on to the A-arm. End result is real sore ribs, a broken windshield, and a broken choke lever. I went back and looked thinking he hit something in the snow, but could find nothing. We were running about 50 to 55 when he went for his wild ride, but can find no explaination but operator error. He finished the ride and today (Friday)he still struggles to get up from a sitting position. He now has a Tek Vest. So no more laughing at me.

I woke up to -14, it was freakin cold.
The rivers there were all frozen solid. NO overflow at all. I saw so much great riding all I could do was drool. Even just the sides of the road would have made excellent riding other then having to doge herds of bison and caribou. When I get to Washington and setup I'll upload some pics for you.
We really do need to plan something. My new job gives me a shitload of vacation time.
Good thing Tim was wearing a helmet when he wrecked (unlike some others weknow who ride without one but we won't mention any names but you know who you are)

yeah, I have agree with john, I have no idea what happened. I think we were going slow, so i wasn't paying attention, and stuck a ski or something. It happened so fast I have no idea what happened. YUP, tek vest for me from now on. we just past 2 weeks from when i did that and i am still sore!!! Good thing is, it doesn't keep me home, I can still work. Figures i go and wreck my self right before john needs help putting in a new floor!! He still has some left, so I can help with that!
Sounds like you found a sweet spot that is untouched!! I wish deisel wasn't $3.50+ a gallon, that might be a nice ride! I am sure it will happen someday!
Talk to ya later!
Tim
