Sled Dog
Hey Ski Doo guys! Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about the 05 Mach Z I rode today. Rode it for about a 1/2 hour in Tug Hill on some nicely groomed trails and some stutters. I am obvioulsy a Yamaha guy and just bought an 06 Attak. I rode my Vector for most of this season though. My sled before the Vector was a 700SXR (triple). So I have almost no time on a 2-stroke twin.

Mach was very nice! I thought being a 1000 2-stroke it would rip your arms off but it was VERY controllable. You could ride it as fast as you want. It seemed that the power really came on in the midrange. I'm used to the Attak now and the power on that is instant, as was my Vector. Could be I'm used to the 4-stroke power also. I did get in a field with it and at 80 it seemed to get stronger! My Vector is starting to get tired at that point but the Attak still has a lot of go. The Mach rode nice too. Fuel mileage is the same as the Attak, which is very impressive to me. Athough the Mach does require high octane. I like the riding position of the Attak better, but that's probably because I'm used to the Attak. I'd probably love the XP seating position.

Bottom line, I was very impressed. I think I was most impressed with how controllable the sled was. I was always under the impression they were some go fast, lake racing monster. The sled seemed to go as fast as your right thumb told it to. Take my "impressions" with a grain of salt remembering that I ride Yamaha and love it.

Later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent some time on a 05 MachZ and was impressed too! thumbsup.png What I thought was it was like my V max-4 that had been brought up to date. When I bought the 06 900 Fusion I went to buy the 06 Mach and they did not have any.....but I paid half of what a new Mach would cost, But I do like everything about the MachZ!
