The meeting was a success. Approximately 60 people attended. Alot of positive comments were given about the need to develop a trail system connecting the existing areas maintained by the state. A link to an online survey that will run until April 15th is noted on the bottom of the clubs home page. Everyone, please take the time to complete the survey. http://www.highlandlakerecreationclub.com/

Update of the meeting. Once again; please take the time to complete the survey and consider supporting the club by becoming a member. The Highland Lake Recreation Club is the organization that holds the King of the Mountain Hill Climb. Thank you in advance.

"To all Highland Lake Snowmobile & Outdoor Club members:

This past Tuesday’s public meeting in Hillsgrove was attended by approximately 65 people. Alice Towbridge of Larson Design Group did a fantastic job of presenting information already gathered as well as detailing the main areas of interest of the feasibility study. She had numerous large maps on display and it was easy to see the segmented trail system as it presently exists and the need for the study and hopefully, an interconnected trail system.

Everybody in attendance had the opportunity individually to express any concerns or issues that were on their mind. There was not one negative comment mentioned, only some important concerns that will eventually need to be addressed.

There will be another public meeting held in the fall and one final meeting next spring.

As part of the feasibility study, Larson Design Group is conducting a survey that needs to be completed by all interested individuals. You can do this on line by going to our club website www.highlandlakerecreationclub.com and click on the link just below the club logo on the homepage. It will only take you a few minutes, and you can only complete the survey once from your computer, and you are not required to put your name on it.

By doing the survey online, all results are automatically tabulated. However, if you prefer not to complete it online, you can print the survey and mail it to Larson Design Group.

This survey must be completed by April 15, 2008. Please tell all your family and friends and snowmobile enthusiasts to complete the survey, even if they are not members of HLSORC.

Thank you"
