Here's the deal. I own an 06' MXZ Adrenaline 600H.O and I absolutely am amazed everytime I ride it. From just cruising to aggressive to playing in the powder. Not too mention 3000 miles with absolutely no mechanical issues. Gas, oil and go. Can the xp really handle that much better and be an all around better sled? I only rode an 800r for a few miles so it was hard for me too judge other than the steering felt tighter. and the seat was uncomfortable. Any input?

It took me a few hundred miles before i was totally confortable on the XP. I rode my sons 06 Rev last week and could never go back to the Rev chassis....You will love the XP, just give it a little time.'

I'm with Peter. It took me about 500 miles to get to really get used to the Renegade. When you get it in the deeper snow you find out what it's all about. The only thing I haven't gotten used to is jumping this Ski Doo. I'm not comfortable with that yet.

When I rode a xp a few weekends ago I didn't like the pannels where my legs go but then again I have put 10000mi on my rev so I am use to it.

The first time I got on an XP last spring I railed my knees on the panels when I sat down. I was so used to getting up close to the REV panels it felt really strange to sit back a bit. After a few hundred miles on the XP I don't even think about my leg positioning. I doo like the extra room and I don't really miss the tight locked in feeling of the REV. I'll tell you what's weird, ride an XP for a few hundred miles and then go back to a REV, it's not bad, just different...more constrained. I didn't realize it until I started to ride the XP but my knees are no longer sore after a weekend of riding.

First off, you'll be pulling up to the pump less offten and love having a 100 clicks on the odometer and filling up with only 5 gallons of gas! Those 600HOs never got better than 12MPG where the 500ss can get as much as 20MPG and the e-tec does even better!!!!!
I switch from a REV mid season to the XP and saying it's night and day difference doesn't get the point across. Once you've done a day on the XP you'll never want to ride a REV again! I went 700 miles on my '05 REV this season before trying Mrs. Crazed's TNT - I couldn't go back. Since the getting the XP I've tried friends REVs, Cats and Yamahas this season. Each time I couldn't wait to get back on my XP!
Nutshell: you will use less gas, be more confident, have more fun and ride longer on an XP than a REV!

Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to be sure before I sold mine. Hey Snowcrazed, you're right about the fuel with the rev's. The funny thing was my 600 always took more gas than my husbands 800. And they both love oil! The e-tec is suppose to be unbelievable. Anyway, it'll be sad to see my rev go,

but I can't wait to get on an XP.

I offered to buy her a new one, she just shrugged and said "no thanks, my REV is all I need", not to mention she gets angry because she can't get out and ride much these past couple of years, and it's not gonna' get any better...see the little fella with me in my avitar, he'll prob get a new machine before the wife, and now she tells me that she won't be able to ride next year (I'm kinda torn on that, possibly another bundle of joy, but I've now lost my riding partner!!!).
I also offered to buy her a new E-Tech for 09, my dealer already has a buyer for her "OLD" REV!! Trust me, I try to make her a happy sledder, but I figure in 5-6 years she'll be back!!!!

The other half has an 03 Rev 600HO and loves it for the comfort, ride and performance. Myself I"m partial to my old Yamaha for the sitting/riding position and it works for me for the time being. I tried out a buddies 06 Renegade 1000sdi on Saturday and liked the way I sat/rode it and it was comfortable. How are the new XP"s with the 136 in comparison for sitting/comfort?

For sitting / comfort, the XP outshines the REV in every category, might take some used to, my wife has an 06 Gade (REV) and I have the XP Gade, the extra 8" of leg room is noticeable when you sit on it, and you don't have to sit up against the panels on the XP like on the REV, I don't like riding the wife's sled any more, and she just took mine out last week with the girls and realized that the XP has the room to allow her to ride with some extra cushion in front (last year she was pregnant and didn't like the cramped style of her REV, the XP gives her the extra room that she could have ridden whilst pregnant...)
Good luck!!!

I feel her pain!!!! Last year was my first time riding and I'm addicted. Would love a new xp. My husband has a rev. I like the upright position of his and he says it rides like its on rails.
My advise for your wife......Send the kids to Grandma's house.
Thanks everyone for the info on the new xp.

Great isn't it. My brother talked us into going a few years ago, I knew I'd like it because of always loved quads, motorcycles, etc. My husband on the other hand got dragged with us kicking and screaming saying that was a ridiculous hobby, too far, too cold

Well, needless to say now we have 3 sleds, trailer and thinking about buying property in Vermont because we enjoy it so much. Oh, by the way sounds like you'll love the rev. My 1st sled was an '03 mxz 600 and it was ok, but when I sat on the rev, I just knew that was my style of riding so we upgraded. Now, I'm ready for the XP! Welcome to the sport!

The new XP has a taller ride height than the rev; although the xp is 50lbs. lighter it felt bigger than my rev the first time I rode it. The second ride I was knowing what to expect and my buddy was with on his 05 600sdi X same sled I had last year. Let me tell U that the Xp was way smoother than the rev. I felt like I was sitting on a low slung Harley when on the REV!! XP is the way to go

I had a couple of little problems with mine but there is no way I could go back to the rev. The locked in feeling was nice but this is nicer, I call mine the loose fit rev. It does everything the rev did but a little better. You will enjoy it. As far as the knees go, I never hit my knees on the rev yet some how managed to do it twice on 1600 miles of riding.

I have an 04 Rev and bought the wife the 08 TNT, I got to ride it for about 2 hrs before the wife took it back off me but let's just say if I had the money I would have a new XP myself.

I tryed the rev's a couple times & did not like the knees being bent so much, knees killing me after 50 miles(long legs).
The XP on the other hand is awsome If I could afford it I'd have one. When I got back on my edge I felt like I was setting on the ground.
