My guess is that is an out of the box/stock XP 800. Timing is taken off the top until they hit about 10 hrs/300 miles. My stock (other than medium windshield and 84 studs) has hit 120 speedo, 112 GPS after the break in.

snow...where?

We have no idea what you are talking about because all you did was post a link to another site.

In which you have to be a member to view any files.
How many Ski-Doo guys or Polaris people are members on the Arctic cat site??? Good work.

Here is what he was referring to - You have to consider the source however (Arctic Cat). I don't know of a box stock F8 ('07-'08) that could get out of its own way.

I own both an 07 and 08 800 Cats, with clutch work, air flow work, and y pipe. We raced numerous stock xp800s this year and after 70 mph it was lights out for the
Cats. Both drivers of the Doos are poor drag racers and I believe that a good driver would kick our asses even sooner. Both 800 Doos GPS out at 114 mph, the cats run 105 and 110, even a f1000 in our group can't get over 112 mph, it is a real dog. I have been a diehard Cat man for over 30 years, but next year their will be a Doo in my garage.

I have ran 112 with my 800R using my buddies gps thing. It shows my top speed on my speedo is 119. I ran this on about 1-2" of Hard pack snow on a lake. I don't know how many feet, but it was just a lake , so I had about as long as I wanted to reach that speed.
ska-doorider
my dads xp has got 114 on radar which was like 122 or something on the speedo then the next day it was 126 on speedo.
pottenger
103 mph on the speedo for me on my 800 Renegade. 104 on my 03 F7 Snopro.

I rode a F8 last year and thought my F7 would give it a lickin. The dealer told me it didn't feel as fast because of the way that you sit on the F8 compared to the F7. I call BULL!
sledgehammer
shit the f8 cant beat a rev800 nevermind an xp. i declare shinannigans.

I believe the info to be about as reliable as the Doo vid from last year showing the XP beating every other sled by 100'....lol.

That said not much to be proud of with the XP in 112-114 mph top speed. My little 700 does that. Heck my long track will crack 110. grinning-smiley-023.gif Gotta stir a tad guys grinning-smiley-023.gif
blubyu
I notice it don't show the weight of the driver - and they also don't tell you how they tightened the track so tight that it takes ten more horse to turn it, and that they greased the clutches, and had it towing an anchor. smokin.gif

That's funny, a friend of mine who is a casual observer was playing flag man for us last weekend, my XP and a bunch of F7's and Crossfire 1000's.

He said, "it looks just like video, they weren't kidding".

I thought it was funny, I thought the video was a joke too.

top speed might not be stellar but ET wins races.
pottenger
0-70 the 800 xp is the quickest production sled made?
kcat177
My F8 has only seen 112 on gps. Out of the hole with an XP its anyone's game, midrange the XP is nasty probably the best, top end i usually creep and we are dead even. I have yet to be beat by more than a sled length or win by one. F7's are in the mix, 1 or 2 stupid ones will go by both sleds and top out around 114. 09 we can all speculate who is fastest, gotta wait till they hit the snow first.

I agree that in most cases the XP probably has an advantage with equal setup in the short. 660' is just the begging of a race though IMO.

So you're saying an F7 has the advantage in 1000' drags, as a rule not the exception of course.
