My advice is get the sled running tip top before you do anything to it and also do a few preventative maintenance mods.

Put a set uni-filters on the throttle bodies to keep belt dust out of the engine (poor design). Next, replace the low pressure fuel pump from under the engine and remount the new one in the right footwell. Plus, make sure the battery is good and the ground connections are clean. Run the 07 map.

Then, do some clutch work -- Cudney, Dunn, Goodwin. All of them are good kits and make the sled rock!

Keep a good belt on, riding high in the secondary.

Crank shop pipes are certainly worth some horsepower. You will need to add a boondocker as well and do some tuning of course.

Nitrous will get you big numbers. Some have even added turbos. Big bore kits, domes, reeds, and just about any other pipe and can combo etc. are not really worth the $ IMO.

Also, check the Mach forum over on dootalk, but don't get too frightened over there when you see the carnage! biggrin.gif

First and foremost. There are lot of RT Mach haters out there. In my experience with the 2 that I've owned they are extremely fun machines to have. You must know how to care for a sled and not be afraid to wrench or have the $$$ to take to a dealer if problems occur. As far as making it fast, it all depends how you ride. If you wanna just dump few hundred bucks in and go, then clutch kit is the route. If you have deeper pockets, then clutching, crankshop pipes with a boondocker box is a good route. Rodder is the expert on setting up crankshop pipes. He has set up numerous machs. Nitrous is also another way you can go to get more "giddie up", but thats gonna run you more money also.

I agree with the guys on here on some points: relocate the low pressure fuel pump if it hasn't been done yet. Replace it with a NAPA pump. You can research the part # on here or DooTalk.

As far as clutch kits go, you can go many many different directions. I have used Cudney's trail/lake kit and Dunn Performance's kit. They are both great kits to use, just depends what you are looking for.

Hope all that rambling helps ya bud
