Jaguar
Just purchased a left over 07 Jaguar. put on 150 miles in back yard to get used to the machine before heading out on a 6 day trip.
Very disappointed in the handling of the machine. the first 4 days I spent every stop making adjustments. I have owned a lot of cats but never had one that would change so drastically when conditions changed. Always pushing in the corners, never knowing where the front end was going to end up. I finally got so mad that I started pounding the trails hard like my F7 and the machine started coming around and with a few more little adjustments I started to like it.
However I purchased it thinking I was buying a cruiser not a racer. I wanted a sled that I could drive and have a chance to look around at the scenery and not have everything flying past me.
Any ideas or suggestions as to what I caan do to make this handle at lower speeds ?
Also anyone else having problems with the hand and thumb warmers, the switches seem to keep reseting to the off position after they get hot and sometimes not much heat. As well I have noticed that after a run the head light lenses fill with condensation.
Other than that I am happy with everything else, everything I expected and more.
thanks

The first thing you should do, like all other stock cat's, is to get better carbide wear bars for your skis. The stock ones are worthless and must be replaced. Other than that, I don't own a swin spar so I'm of no help there.

Good luck.

X2 and love them! But my sled has the new Cobra track and 153 studs and it hooks up and drives like it is on rails. When we got a bunch of new snow my wife kicked me off that sled and made me ride her 07 so I got a new track for her and new skis on the way.

I run Simmons Gen2 skis with 4 inch carbides----tracks awsome as hard as you want to push it...do a search on gen 2 on this site you can see pictures of my skis on my sled..good lucl

I installed the Impex Arrow skis with the dual carbides, and 96 studs, on my '07 at around 300 miles, and I could not be happier with the handling. But I must say that that this thing has handled pretty decent right from mile one. I passed 800 miles today after having the sled for 5 weeks, and I thinks this sled is all I could want it to be.

Does the '08 updated sway bar kit apply to the Z1's? I hear it made a big handling difference on the F's.

You can update the sway bars on the Z1, I run woody's dooleys and have no darting at all so I feel no need to do so.

i have a 07 e.b. z1.without changing the ski,s put on a set of snow tracker carbides.this will illeminate your darting and very good for conering in soft snow.it,s the best that i have tried to dateas for the torsion bar i changed mine to the 08.I do not get the binding that i had with the new one.I find that there is a little more body roll.this bar seems not as stiff or it could be the new end attachement position.still quit acceptable.hope this helps.
