snow...where?

I was checking out some Doo's on the weekend.
The pricing was o.k for spring order.... High $10's and low $11's for the different 600 E-Tech models.
But what made me get up and Leave real quick was all the extra charges!!!!!
$250 Freight, $275 Set-up, $60 license and a $60 admin. fee!! Holy $645..... Rape me now!!!
Do all BRP dealer do that?? Or was this one a crook?
We bitch about the crappy U.S vs. Cdn pricing... The dealer extra fees Suk as well.
As a comparison. My dealer (yes, different brand) only charged me $180 freight and $40 license.. Yup, thats it. Shipped from the U.S. $180. NO admin. fee and NO set-up.
Is a possible new Doo in my future doomed to fail before it begins because of the outrageous dealer fees??

Good idea to stay away from Prentice Power Sports in Minden then. (or bring Lube)

I figured out the pricing game........
Don't worry about the prices. They are all rigged.
Doesn't matter which dealer you call, pretty much all the same. Full MSRP or maybe $100 off.
They say that they discount the price by roughly $600. Then they add Freight and PDI....that puts it back up to MSRP. LOL!! What a joke.
This was coming from dealers that actually advertise No Frt or PDI. (St.Onge)
Talked to 3 dealers. All the same price. No deals.
600 Adren' $11,700 including frgt+pdi... $13221!!!!!with tax
as a comparison...a higher end sled that sells for less........
600 DRAGON SP $11,100msrp $10,600 sell price. No Frgt,NO PDI $11,978with tax
800 DRAGON SP 12,300msrp $11,700 sell price. No Frgt,NO PDI $13,221with tax.
Pretty much a no brainer.
For $1300 less I will stick with Polaris. Or pay the same as a 600 and get the 800DRAGON.
For a few days I thought I might actually pick up a BRP product..... The pricing practices of BRP and it's dealers make me fell sick.

Strange since I've never paid freight and pdi at st. onge. My 05 gsx list price was 11 700, selling price was 11 000, no freight or pdi, taxes were still 15 percent then so 12650.

Just into Leatherdale in Orillia today and they are charging $250 for freight and $250 for PDI. Dealer stated that he gets charged freight therefore its going to get passed on to us. He felt that all BRP dealers would be adding freight on to the cost. So far all other dealers I have gone to for other brands of sleds are not charging for freight and PDI. This along with other cost savings (lower list price, better dealer and manufacturer rebates, better spring check programs) is resulting in lower prices of from $1,100 to $2,500 for a similar sled. I don't think I'll be staying with Ski-Doo. I came from a Polaris 7 years ago and probably will go back.

That $800 Polaris gives sounds alot better than the $350 from BRP... LOL
